Quinnipiac University is seeking a dynamic, strategic, and results-oriented leader to assume the position of Associate Vice President and Chief Diversity Officer to provide visionary and strategic leadership that will advance the university’s commitment to diversity, inclusion, cultural awareness and sensitivity.
The Associate Vice President and Chief Diversity Officer (AVP/CDO) will directly report to the Executive Vice President and Provost of Quinnipiac University and is responsible for coordinating efforts to advance diversity and inclusion initiatives in support of the university’s core value of a strong sense of community. In this role, the AVP/CDO will lead efforts to support a campus climate that is welcoming and supportive of all members. The AVP/CDO will also coordinate diversity-oriented programs and initiatives, including the review, updating and implementation of the university’s strategic plan for diversity and inclusion.
The qualifications of the ideal candidate include the following:
• Advanced degree or earned doctorate required
• Evidence of a track record for developing effective diversity and inclusion initiatives for faculty/staff and students
• Expertise in current diversity, equity, inclusion and multiculturalism concepts and issues
• Demonstrated experience with researching, identifying and implementing best practices of diversity and inclusion
• The ability to work effectively and collegially within a university community
