Overview

 

Quinnipiac University, located in Hamden, Connecticut, seeks an innovative, experienced nursing education leader to serve as its next Dean of the School of Nursing. As the school's chief academic and administrative officer reporting to the EVP/Provost, s/he will be committed to providing visionary and effective leadership and fostering excellence in teaching, scholarship and service. This is an extraordinary opportunity for an experienced academic leader to build upon the SON’s successes while working to expand its inter-professional programs.

Responsibilities

The ideal candidate will be a leader in nursing education with a track record of supporting the growth of nursing education, teaching, faculty development, accreditation and professional standards.

Qualifications & Special Instructions to Applicants

 

Minimum requirements include a doctorate in nursing education or related field, prior administrative experience within an academic setting and sufficient teaching, scholarship and service track record consistent with appointment at the rank of Professor in nursing. A solid clinical foundation is required.
