    The Quinnipiac University Poll invites applications for an Assistant Manager of Survey Operations to support the Manager of Survey Operations in all technical aspects of public opinion survey research processes. With a main focus on data collection and analysis procedures, the Assistant Manager will program data collection and data reports. The ideal candidate has basic knowledge of survey research and is an upbeat and enthusiastic team player.

    • Write browser-based survey scripts using CATI data collection and analysis software
    • Run data reports for internal and external use
    • Archive and export data using various software packages
    • Create graphic visualization of survey data for website and social media publication.
    • Guide support staff with graph creation
    • Oversee translation team on survey related tasks
    • Provide a variety of research information to support poll needs including census data and exit poll results
    • Proof read survey scripts and press releases for accuracy
    • Assist the Manager of Survey Operations as required including with software, hardware, network, and phone-line issues
    • Assist the Director and Associate Director of the poll with special projects

    Qualifications & Special Instructions to Applicants


    • Bachelor’s Degree; Master's Degree Preferred
    • Basic knowledge of survey research
    • CATI script writing experience is preferred, but other programming experience will be considered
    • Experience with quantitative research methods and with SPSS, STATA, SAS or similar software packages is preferred
    • Experience working in a UNIX or LINUX environment
    • Demonstrated ability with graphic creation and programs
    • Detail oriented with logical thinking skills and the ability to multi-task and meet deadlines
    • Experience supervising others
    • Strong sense of responsibility to your team and a desire for professional excellence 
    • Flexibility in work hours and assignments
    • Proficiency with Microsoft Office products including Excel is required
    • Ability to interact professionally within the department, the campus, the national community and a commitment to contribute to the diversity and excellence of the academic community
